
General InformationChaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School, a private Catholic High School, provides an education for grades 9-12 with emphasis on the development of faith, the cultivation of moral values, and the preparation for higher education which will lead to a successful life. At Chaminade-Madonna education is not restricted to the confines of the classroom; a wide range of athletic, cultural, social, and religious activities is an integral part of the total education program.Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory understands that choosing the right school for your child is a very important decision for the entire family. During this process the perspective student and family should have serious discussions about priorities, values, ambitions and talents. The admissions office is dedicated to providing you with the information necessary to assist you in this process. The process of applying for admission to Chaminade-Madonna varies according to grade level. Incoming ninth graders are those students currently in the eighth grade and are seeking admission into the next ninth grade class. Transfer students are those students who are currently enrolled in another high school and are seeking admission into our school. For incoming ninth grade admission, the process begins in the fall of eighth grade with a visit to our school. During the visit, the applicant is given a tour of the school and the admissions packet which includes the application and entrance exam registration form. Any student applying for ninth grade admission must take the entrance examination. Transfer students are accepted at the beginning of each semester, August and January. Generally, Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory does not admit students in the senior year. Students currently in high school wishing to apply for admission to Chaminade-Madonna must fill out the admission application, provide official high school transcripts including the most recently completed semester, and records indicating any courses currently enrolled. Chaminade-Madonna admits students of any race, sex, color, national and ethnic origin, to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to students at Chaminade-Madonna. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of academic or admission policies, athletic and other school-administered programs. |
